Harmonic Mines is a study of sounds derived from rocks and minerals. The work investigates the musical gestures that can be generated with these sound sources by combining them with processed recordings of an acoustic guitar. Comprising of many sharp cuts and sudden movements across the stereo field, the composition was designed for live spatial sound diffusion.
